Amina Annabi (Carthage, 5 March 1962) is a French actress and singer of Tunisian descent. She was second at the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest for France with the song " C'est le dernier qui a parlé qui a raison.

Biography[Edit][]
Amina is the daughter of a French father and a Tunisian mother. Her parents divorced at a young age and on her thirteenth she moved with her mother to Paris. Her breakthrough in the music was in 1985 when she won with her song Shehérazadea rapwedstrijd, a combination of rap and traditional Arabic music. Four years later she made her film debut in the film Maman.
Her big break came in 1991 when she was allowed to represent France in the Eurovision Song Contest in Rome. She has also her only Top 40 hit in the due. After the exciting and messy points count the same number of points as France ended with Sweden (146) at the top. Sweden, which was represented by Carola with the song Fångad av and storm find , however, was as winner, because they had received 10 points from the juries more often (the number of times 12 points was equal). What, however, did not succeed, they were remarkably Carola Amina though: get a place in the Dutch Top 40. Although it was her only hit, it was not the first time she was in the Top 40. She made part of the Peace Choir that 3 months earlier a # 14-hit with a cover of Give peace a chance. This was a charity project by Yoko Ono and the then 15-year-old Sean Lennon ( John Lennon's second wife and son) with Lenny Kravitz following the 1991 Gulf war. On this single were also big names like Terence Trent D'Arby, Cyndi Lauper, Little Richard, LL Cool J and Dave Stewart to hear. The single was even a modest hit in the United States, where it up to # 54 came in the Billboard Hot 100.
After her Eurovision adventure she went through with acting and making albums in the mid- 1990s , but is she going to do easy. Her most recent album is the compilation album Nomad (2001).
On March 13, 2010 if they distribute the points on behalf of France in Melodifestivalen, the Swedish heat of the Eurovision Song Contest.
