Carlos Mario Hoyos (Medellín28 February 1962) is a former Colombian footballer, who played as Defender. He finished his pro career in 1992 and later ended his international match career stepped in.

Club Career[Edit]Edit

Hoyos played seven seasons for Deportivo Cali, before he in 1988 was annexed by Atlético Junior. He ended his career with Deportes Quindío.

Career Statistics[Edit]Edit

Hoyos played 24 games (zero goals) for Colombia in the period 1985-1990. Led by head coach Gabriel Ochoa Uribe , he made his debut on 27 October 1985 in World Cup qualifier play-offs against Paraguay (3-0) in Asunción, like Carlos ValderramaJorge Ambuila and Gabriel Jaime Gómez. Hoyos was part of the squad for the 1990 FIFA WORLD CUP, but did not come into action during the final round in Italy.
