Cory Gibbs ( Fort Lauderdale , January 14 1980 ) is an American football player. He comes from the U.S. national football team .
Gibbs made in 2001 for the first move to Europe, where he played football for FC St. Pauli . After the team gravitated through degradation he returned to America in Dallas Burn to play. That same season he was in the winter over by Feyenoord where he coach Ruud Gullit had an immediate basis. With the arrival of Erwin Koeman after the resignation of Gullit Gibbs played no more competition for Feyenoord. This was not because Koeman saw nothing in him, but because he suffered an injury in May 2005 during a match and had to recover for a long time. Since there are already many players were at Feyenoord on his position within the squad, he was on loan acquired by the end of January 2006 ADO Den Haag . Here Gibbs hoped to play again to come and its place in the U.S. squad for the 2006 World Cup secure. The following season he moved to the English league, he is under contract with Charlton Athletic .Without playing he left Charlton in 2008 for Colorado Rapids . In 2010 he played for the New England Revolution and since 2011 he plays for Chicago Fire .
