Davide Cassani (Faenza, 1 January 1961) is a former Italian professional road bicycle racer between 1982 and 1996. He is currently cycling commentator at the RAI.
Tour de France 2007[Edit][]
On 25 July 2007 known Cassani the geletruidrager of the tour de France 2007, Michael Rasmussen, in June of that year has seen in the Dolomites instead of in Mexicosuch as Rasmussen himself had indicated. This has Cassani to his friend and former Rabobank rider the Dane Rolf Sörensen told that to the Rabobank team has passed.Although Cassani had not intended to discredit to Rasmussen was the drop for Theo de Rooij of the Rabobank team which Rasmussen had to leave the Tour and immediately was fired by Rabobank .
