Eulogio a. Rodriguez, SR. (Montalban21 January 1883 - 9 december 1964) was a Filipino politician and entrepreneur.


Eulogio Rodriguez was born on 21 January 1983 in Montalban, Rodriguez named after him today in the province of Rizal. His parents were Petronilo Rodríguez and Monica Adona. Rodriguez studied at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran in 1896 and obtained a bachelor of Artsdegree. Then he studied law at a private teacher.

Rodriguez was Mayor of his home town from 1906 to 1916 Montalban. In June 1916, he was elected Governor of the province of Rizal. He was re-elected three years later. From 1924 to 1928 he was a member of theHouse of representatives. The first two years on behalf of the province of Nueva Vizcaya and from 1925 on behalf of Rizal's the second kiesdictrict. After a break of several years followed by a two period 1931 to 1935 as a delegate on behalf of the second kiesdictrict of Rizal. In his second stint as Deputy he was by American Governor General Frank Murphy also mid-1934 was appointed Minister of agriculture and trade. In the Commonwealth period he was on 28 August 1941 again by president Manuel L. Quezon appointed Minister of agriculture and trade.

From 1945 to 1947 and from 1949 until his death in 1964 was a member of the Philippine SenateRodriguez. In this period he was twice president of the Senate. The first period was of 30 april 1952 to april 17, 1953.The second period covered more than nine years between 25 January 1954 to 5 april 1963.

Eulogio Rodriguez died at the end of 1964 at the age of 81. With his first wife Juana Santiago he got seven children. With his second wife, Luisita Centre C-E he got three more children, including Rosario Rodriquez, who would later marry Genaro Magsaysay.
