Tedeschi started his motorsport career in 1982 in the formula racing. He started in three seasons in the Formula Fiat Abarth. In addition, in 1982 he took part in two races in the Italian formula three championship. In 1985 he returned back here and stayed here six years drive. After a thirteenth place in 1985 and in 1986 he obtained a sixteenth in 1987 his first podium place in the Championship, making him the season ended as twelfth. In 1988, he won his only race in the Championship, he finished seventh in the Championship thus leading. After a fourteenth place in 1989 and a 21st place in 1990, he left the Italian formula 3. In 1991 he moved to the Formula 3000, where he went for Pavesi Racing drive. He qualified for five of the eight races and knew only in the first race at the ACI Vallelunga Circuit to get the finish fifteenth. In the final race of the season, he was replaced by Massimiliano Angelelli.
After two year break it returned Tedeschi in 1994 back in racing, where he made his debut in the touring cars. He started four seasons in the Italian Super Touring Car Championship for the team in a Tecnica RacingAlfa Romeo 155 TS. Successively he finished eighteenth, fifteenth, seventeenth and fifteenth in the Championship again. In addition, in 1995 he took part in two races in the Spanish Touring Car Championship. In 1998 he moved to the sports cars, where he participated in the FIA Sportscar Championship. He won here twice the CN class. He remained three years active in this Championship.
After Tedeschi in 2003 participated in three races in the Porsche Supercup, he took no part in races for a long time. In 2011, however, he returned back in the Superstars Series for the Roma Racing Team, in which he finished 24th. In 2012 , he made his debut in the World Touring Car Championship. Proteam Racing for the team, he took part in the racceweekend on the Sonoma Raceway in a BMW 320 TC. However he had an accident in the first practice, leaving his car could not be repaired in time for the races.
