Joseph Saddler ( Barbados , January 1 1958 ) is a DJ with nickname Grandmaster Flash is one of the pioneers of hip-hop . During the 70's in the Bronx ( New York ), he makes two copies of an album of new songs by the drum solos (breaks) to mix together. He himself claims to be the first to do this, although Kool DJ Herc , according to many, it was already doing.
Grandmaster Flash is considered to be the first to repeat these breaks by pushing the plate with his hand forward and backward. He calls this technique "cutting", later the " scratching called. He is also the first DJ who while running pulls stunts like standing backwards and scratching the boards behind his back.
The "Apache Break" is one of the most famous breaks that created Grandmaster Flash. This is based on the number of Apache Incredible Bongo Band .
