Gudisa Shentema ( April 19 1980 ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner, who specializes in the marathon .

Shentema in 2003 she won a bronze medal at the African Games . In 2005 he was thirteenth in the marathon at the world championships in Helsinki , and fifth in the championship Ethiopian half marathon .

In 2007 he took part in the marathon at the World Championships in Osaka , but he did not. reached the finish At the Paris marathon in 2008 he improved his personal best to 2:07:34. He was this fourth behind his compatriot Tsegay Kebede , who won the race in 2:06:40 and Kenyan Moses Arusei and Hosea Rotich , who were second and third respectively.
