Hasan Salihamidzic ( Jablanica , January 1 1977 ) is a former Bosnian footballer . He finished his career in 2012 as a midfielder for VfL Wolfsburg .

In 1991 Salihamidzic was youth player Velez Mostar . He was one of the greatest talents, but because of the war, he did not play with the seniors. At that time, Bosnia and Herzegovina was still part of Yugoslavia . Salihamidzic wanted to get away from the war and went to work in a pub so he could save up for a flight money. In 1992 he flew to Hamburg . With the help of his cousin Ahmet Halilhodžić he joined the youth team of Hamburger SV . Salihamidzic would also be professional in Hamburg. He played 72 matches and scored nineteen times.
