John Digweed (Hastings1 January 1967) is a British dj and music producer. In 2008 he was 9th in the election for the most popular dj in the leading DJ Mag Top 100.[1Ten years, Digweed stood in the top 10 in each issue thereof. Digweed was first during the election of 2001. [2]. Digweed became known on the side of Sasha with whom he formed a dj duo for years. Digweed produces every now and then singles. These are the best known singles under the name Bedrock.

Digweed began in the 1980s as a dj. His breakthrough as a dj came in 1993 when he gets a place in the British club Renaissance after Sasha a demo of heard him. From then on, the two formed a dj duo. The evenings of the duo quickly grew in popularity. In 1994 stopped the duo in the club and they went on tour in events and clubs all over the world. As a reminder of the Renaissance nights was the triple compilation Sasha & John Digweed-Renaissance: The Mix Collection released. The duo also brought afterward Northern exposure (1996) and Northern exposure II (1997) out. From 1998 turning them monthly in the club Twilo in New York, to this in 2001 by the New York Police is closed.

Digweed also began to produce itself. Together with his friend Nick Muir, he founded the project Bedrock, eponymous to the label that they are founded on. It appeared in 1993 the number For what you dream of. The song became a classic, partly because it used in 1996 on the soundtrack to the film Trainspotting. In 1999 did it again with the song Heaven scent and in 2001 was aBeautiful strange ambientversie of the song popular after this on an episode of the Café del Marseries was put.

In 2002, Sasha and John Digweed their own way. Digweed had built up a big name in the meantime solo as a dj. So he also mixed some parts of the Global undergroundseries. He also brought severalTransitionsunder the name mixplaten. He also made several other mix album. Sasha and John Digweed again from 2006 Act regularly on.
