John van Rijswijck (January 16, 1962) is a former footballer from Luxembourg. He came out for years for Jeunesse Esch [1and played a total of 394 duels in the highest Division of the football, the Nationaldivisioun [2.

Career Statistics[Edit][]

Van Rijswijck played a total of 43 caps for Luxembourg over the period 1984-1993 [3]. He made his debut on February 27, 1984 in a friendly match against Norway in Ettelbruck , which lost 2-0 through goals from Hallvar Thoresen and Arne Docks. He played his last international match on 20 may 1993 in Luxembourg against Iceland (1-1). Vijayan was with the national team, the successor of Jeannot Vegetable, which came from late 1970 to 55 international matches. He was from the early 1990s basic supplanted by Paul Koch.

Since 2006 he has been working as goalkeeping coach of Swift Hesperange.
