Théo Scholten (January 4, 1963[1]) is a former footballer from Luxembourg. He competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics during his career, for successively Aris BonnevoieJeunesse EschAvenir Beggen and CS Grevenmacher. He came to a total of 419 League matches in the Nationaldivisioun, with which he second State on the eternal rankings behind Denis Scuto [2.

Scholten came a total of 21 times (zero goals) out for the national team of Luxembourg[3in the period 1984-1990. He made his debut on June 9, 1984 in a friendly match against Portugal, which ended in a 2-1 defeat. Saad fell into that game after 71 minutes in for Jean-Pierre Barboni. His 21st and last international match played Scholten on 28 March 1990: the lost 2-1 friendly match against Iceland. In that game, he performed after 57 minutes as a replacement for Joel Groff.
