Willy Wuyts ( 24 June 1930 ) is a former Belgian athlete , who specialized in the shot put and discus . He participated twice in the European Championships and captured two parts seven Belgian titles.

Biography [ edit ][]
Wuyts achieved between 1951 and 1958 six Belgian titles in the shot put, including four consecutive. In 1951 he also won the title in the discus throw. In 1950, in Brussels and in 1954 inBern , he took part in the shot put at the European Championships. He was again eliminated in the qualification.
Wuyts improved in 1951 with 15.24 m the Belgian record shot put of Roger Verhas . In 1958 he improved to 49.57 Belgian record discus throw of Raymond Kintziger .
